March Birthstone - Aquamarine


Aquamarine belongs to the Beryl family of minerals and is perhaps best known for being the March birthstone. Aquamarine shares the chemical component Beryllium with the other members of the Beryl mineral family. Aquamarine Beryl gains its light blue color from ferrous iron impurities within the Aquamarine Beryl mineral.
