Keep your Special Occasion Safe!

Plan a safe and enjoyable special occasion by obtaining any and all permits/licenses and insurance. This may save you from any legal action resulting from an unforeseen mishap.

When planning a special occasion event outside a licensed establishment, you should always inquire to your local bylaw office and liquor control board to find out if any permits or licenses are necessary in order to hold your event.

Remember to give your self plenty of time to obtain any special occasion permits and you have to be willing to be flexible on your activities since local bylaws may restrict some planned activities such as fires, fireworks and the distribution of alcohol.
